OPEN[PLAY]The Silver Age by Heywood - thw
Threats to a DPL for a fast PL OK response? I am not sure that is a good practice to follow. Though is successful, it could prove tempting....

Okay, Todd, here are two of my parts-
Triton: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/silverage_triton_3.mp3 (1 min, 11 secs)
Cerberus: https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/silverage_cerberus_5.mp3 (2 mins, 15 secs)
Now with Cerberus, because he is a three-headed dog I thought it would sound cool if all three of his heads are talking at once so I recorded the lines three times (I practically had the part memorized by the end ) then merged them together. Personally I'm quite pleased with it but I'm not the editor so in case you dislike that or don't want to use it, I did still include a normal reading of the lines (I still have a copy with all three original readings that I can submit if you want that but to make it easier for PL and since it's probably not necessary I cut two for this submission)

Thank you. I will listen to both Cerberus versions when I finally edit and decide.

Apologies for taking so long to PL! Life got super crazy over the last few weeks.silverquill wrote: ↑April 13th, 2024, 4:04 pm Here a stage directions for all five acts. Sorry, it was easier to do this in one session and I had the chunk of time. I did a Dramatis Personae, but did it from the MW so the order may be a little odd. And, I kept looking for a Scenae 2 in any of the acts, but must of missed them.

Act 3-5 are all PL-OK!
Act 1 Notes:
1:15- missing “Andromeda read by…” (that was a large DP! I listened several times and I believe that is the only one missing.)
5:58- missing “Perseus kills Pretus”
Act 2 Notes:
2:36- missing “Exeunt”
2:58- heard “Amphitrio beats his men.”; text reads “Amphitrio beats in his men.”. I believe this might mean he gives his men a beat to get into a formation as they exit the stage. But please correct me if I’m wrong!

Super crazy? Same here, but good crazy. Moved into a new place, and pretty much have my new studio place set up. Been looking forward to this for a long time.jennlea wrote: ↑May 12th, 2024, 8:45 am

I was about to scrub the loud breathings out but then I remember this is a play and I am supposed to leave where that happens up to other people who might want some of that in. some of it's emotion, some of it is asthma, sorry about the asthma, if you ever want me to scrub them out tell me and I will.

People breathe; so should our characters. You probably are more sensitive to your own breaths that anyone else. We'll see what jennlea thinks when she PLs.
