Here is my 1-minute test recording: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_tessvisser.mp3

I also played around a little with the noise reduction: https://librivox.org/uploads/tests/test_tessvisser_noisereduced.mp3

I recorded these audio files using Audacity and my laptop microphone as I do not yet have a USB or separate microphone. I appreciate your feedback on how to improve my set-up, and the volume etc.

Thank you!
Tess

Hi Tess!
You have passed and are ready to record!
The microphone sounds good for a laptop microphone. I agree though that at some point you should move to a dedicated microphone such as a USB microphone. Maybe the help thread might be a good place to ask about improving your set up:

In general we advise new readers to begin with something short such as the poetry sections offered at: viewtopic.php?t=102150
