The Whole Family, by Various
An unusual concept, with each of the twelve chapters written by a different author. The original idea was to see how a single engagement and marriage affects the whole family, but as each author took on a chapter and, possibly, based it on their own family, it showed contention, conflict and, ultimately, a very dysfunctional family.

I can split it in two, but I would want the same reader for both.

Hi, I am new to LibriVox and this is my first claim. The format of the writing of this book interested me. May I claim chapter 4: The Daughter In Law?
I am interested in more as well but not sure if I would be able to complete it in 2 months as the deadline.

Welcome to Librivox!
I will add you to the catalog with your forum name, but that can be changed later if you wish.
I will assign that section to you and if you follow the directions in the first post, all should be well… but please as, if you have questions.
Once that is submitted, please feel free to claim any other sections that remain open.

I've never heard of a book written this way before! I would love to join. Can I claim the section 5, "The School-Girl"?

This is also my first time volunteering, and I would like to go by the name Roni in the catalogs:)

Thanks Lynnet, Since this is my first chapter as a narrator, I would like to share a small piece with you of the chapter to get your review instead of doing the whole chapter in one go. Pls, let me know if that's okay and where should I upload that piece?

This is not normal practice (that’s why we ask for the one minute test) but if you upload it to my folder I will listen. So go ahead and upload exactly as in the first post. When you submit the full chapter, it will overwrite the test piece.

Thanks Lynnet, I have uploaded a piece of 10:43 duration in your folder, here is the link: https://librivox.org/uploads/lynnet/wholefamily_4_various_128kb.mp3 . I tested it with the Checker app and it passed all tests, do let me know if you have any more feedback.
