I was wondering how good I would have to be at a certain language to record something in it? I know that I would have to be good enough that you can at least understand me , but I was wondering how good that would be? Sometimes when I am reading in a language that is different than what I was born with, there are some words every once in a while that I am not quite sure how they are pronounced. But I make pretty educated guesses.

Users can request pronunciations of words and phrases, and other users will record them (hopefully - e.g. German has a large backlog). There's already a lot in the database though.
