OooOoO. VERY smarmy and cocky. I can't wait until he tries to arrange a date at the Mars Hotel (in chapter 11).

Roger pronounces Tom's name "Core-bet" - everyone else says something more like "Core-bit". Is this something Roger is doing to annoy/razz Tom?

** He says Core-bet becuz that is the only correct way to say it and all the rest of you are wrong.

In chapter 5 there is a missing line:
I thought this was going to be a battle of blood."
(right after "Gloves?" in the first page of the script.)

Chapters 1, 2,4 and 7 are PL OK. Chapter 5 needs that extra line.
Missing line on Chapter 5 added for Spot PL.

Thanks, Todd

Chapters 5 and 6 are PL OK, thanks.
Roger's last line in each is "Go blow your jets!" - a favorite.

Thank you Todd, all are PL OK.

Roger has 3 distinct voices:
- snide, when dealing with inferior life forms (like other members of the Polaris unit),
- full of self pity, when he thinks nobody is listening,
- professional, when dealing with rocket operations.
Wait! He has a 4th voice:
- smarmy, when trying to lure a 'space babe' into a date.

Well, you're spelling Zewbriski differently from the way it is in the book, but you are pronouncing it fine, and that's the important part!

The utter panic in your voice for "They can't leave us here!" and "We'll all be blown to bits!" is great - Zewbriski is barely able to hold it together.

PL OK, thanks Shelly.
 oops. I had his name wrong in my head. If youre sure it sounds ok I'll leave it as is.

Roger - er - Todd

Chapters 12, 13, 14, 15 are PL OK.
In Chapter 16:
At ~ 1:25 I hear: "You'll never do anything I can't, or wouldn't do, just as well" - the text reads "You'll never do anything I can't, or won't do, just as well".
At ~2:55 I hear: "and a paragraph in a history book! After that, nothing!" - the text reads "and a paragraph in a history book! And after that, nothing!"
So, two fixes required.

Surface of Mars - coming right up (both in the plot as well as the trajectory of the Venus Lark).

Spot PL OK.
Thank you Todd.

Onward to the unreasonably-warm New Sahara where Roger does not have a good time. To be fair, Tom and Astro suffer as well.

I'll listen to Steve Strong next.

Chapter 6: See PL notes
At ~5:48 I hear "Good work, Corbett. That broken recording was put there intended to trap you." The text reads "Good work, Corbett. That broken recording was put there intentionally to trap you." (I would have made Strong a little less enthusiastic on "Good work, Corbett" - but an editor has to trust the readers; your choice is fine.)

Chapter 7: PL OK
Audacity shows a tiny bit of clipping at "Not only passed, Corbett" - I listened to that bit a few times and don't hear distortion, so it's A-OK.

You give Strong's voice a bit of reverence when he introduces the cruiser Polaris, and of course he should feel that way. The Polaris is the newest and shiniest ship in the fleet (and is a major location for the rest of the series).
