Front Desk Clerk is now claimed.

The Magic Window is mostly filled in.
* My fat fingers claimed I needed 265 sections and not 165.
* Please check for misplaced claims and let me know.
* The 'Notes' in the Magic Window give the file names each reader part should have.
I think you have signed Todd up for McKenny chapter 2 by mistake, the first Al James file name also has a capital A instead of lowercase. I think the rest is okay

Thanks - extra eyes help.

Let me also thank Jim Hedrick for checking the chapters I split into parts for typos. Any errors that remain there are still my fault.

I got rid of the hundred extra empty sections. You can of course add more should you need them.

Thanks, Todd

Here are the files for PA Voice.

Notes: Rich, I am not a singer, but I gave it a shot at the academy anthem for chapter 2, going for an appropriate air for it. My hope is that with your effects-editing for a canned system sound, it will be good as is. If not, give me a holler to make a more concerted effort at quality singing.

For ch 6, I tried making my voice different for the second announcement. Let me know if you need more there.

Jim,

Starting abruptly at ~23:42, there is a lowish frequency noise that appears with your syllables and goes away at the quiet parts of your speech. Ths affects the last chunk of narration you read plus "end of chapter one." Everything was going well up to that point. I can't see this noise in Audacity's spectrum display. I hope you can track down what changed at that point and recreate the last bits of narration.

Also, I'll be using your sense of pacing as my metronome as I edit the other voices in. Everything will be a bit tighter and faster paced than the last DR I edited. That should build up the drama - yay! :-)

Let me look at that in the morning.

All are PL OK.

The two different voices in chapter 6 should work fine.

I would have also been happy with a spoken version of the anthem in chapter 2. Since you made up a tune for it I'll get that clip to ToddHW so his version of Roger Manning can kind of match the tune. Before Roger starts singing he announces he is horrible at it so I'm hoping Todd can give me something long on enthusiasm but short on quality.

Thanks Lynette!

Got it! That was a bit odd - I did not hear it so much on my headphones, but it came through clearly on my monitor speakers. My guess is that something mechanical started up. My compressor has a noise gate so that would eliminate it during the pauses, but not eliminate the intermodulation.

I redid the last section; I am glad that is all that was affected.

Thanks. Chapter 1 narration is now PL OK. The noise your mic picked up covered a wide range of frequencies, so there's no way I would have been able to filter it out.

My monitoring setup is the opposite of yours; I have cruddy speakers and a monster set of headphones. (I can edit late at night without waking my wife.)

Great! The problem turned out to be an out-of-balance furnace blower caused by what had been a mouse. Image
