This is Howard Phillips Lovecraft's "Music of Eric Zann" quite a favorite of mine!
hmmm, so I kinda, unthinkingly did not use Gutnberg or archive for this. I totally spaced, got too excited and copy pasted from
https://www.hplovecraft.com/writings/texts/fiction/mez.aspx into word. If it is different at all from the official I would not mind doing it once again
21:47
this is NOT my first recording!
Terrific story! But you wouldn't expect anything less from Lovecraft!
Please check the following proof-listening notes:
at around 11:13 and 11:17 there's a repetition: "The next day Blandot gave me a more expensive room on the third floor"
at around 15:01 a sentence is missing, just after "which beset him.": "I waited, and the dumb man’s pencil flew."
while the story ends at 21:41, the recording goes on silence till 31:36 - maybe there was an extra track in audacity that added length to the exported file.
Are you comfortable with doing these edits? Let me know if you'd like any guidance for editing in audacity!
