How young is Young Lucius supposed to be ? Should I make a real young boy voice or rather late teenager or even twen ?

I think he should be quite young, otherwise he'd be dead already!

Yay, thanks Sonia! All but Quintus 2.3 (which is Jenn's scene) are PL OK!

As for Young Lucius, I believe he is a young boy, so if you could give him a child's voice, that would work wonderfully.

here's young Lucius then...with a young voice, he sounds a bit like a girlie maybe, but then again, young boys often do. He has the revenge/honour-feeling like a grown-up though. Tough boy. Glad he's one of the few that survive the play.

and now for the evil queen... I notice, except for Tamora, I only play the "good guys" here in this play. Now I will unleash my full evil potential for her

thank you Craig :)

my start at Tamora...she had potential for feelings in the beginning, but circumstances made her evil. She's something right out of Game of Thrones  Wow that second scene with Lavinia is heavy stuff. But it is fun to act out such a predatory queen.

Now time for food (no, my appetite is not lost after this scene  ) If all goes well, I will wrap up her character on Friday.

Wow, Sonia is now approaching the finish line, as well! Young Lucius 5.3 and Tamora 1.1 are both PL OK! The latter is especially great. There are so many emotions she's expressing in one scene, from anguish to vindictiveness! I can't wait to hear more.

yes I also loved this scene where she is Revenge. Good opportunity to make a more seductive/dangerous whisper-voice. I hope it works well in context.

Here are my final lines:

Wonderful, Sonia! Tamora 5.3 is PL OK and now we await our last remaining characters to be recorded!

While there is still no rush, considering three of us have already finished our roles, hopefully it will provide some incentive for the others to continue submitting files! Perhaps we could even try wrapping this up within the next one or two months, so we can do another play as a summer project. :9:

A quick question!

I have made a start on editing my scenes. I don't have all the parts yet, but most in place and easy enough to drop the remainders in later. I have a bit of a busy schedule looming.

In 4_2, not unusually, the narrator announces the sound of a trumpet in the background. It's quite easy to get the sound of a roman trumpet and I was going to drop that in.

I don't think it is necessary to include the .....'Trumpet Sounds'..... statement if the sound is clearly there. This is quite different to ....'aside'....., that helps to ensure an understanding of the context.

No issue for me either way, just thought I'd bore you all with the question.

yes that is true, but careful with sound effects....we cannot just take anything from the internet, as it may have copyright. We try to keep the sound effects to a minimum. Or are you doing it yourself (gifted trumpet player maybe ?)

It will be interesting to see how you judge my trumpet playing.

I don't know if you're joking, Craig, or whether you genuinely can record yourself playing the trumpet for us, but if the latter, I would be welcome to it!

As Sonia did say, though, we just can't poach a recording from another website and use it. Whatever sound effects we use have to be recorded by us and us alone.

OK. I've got it. I'll dig out my Saxaphone and see what I can do.
Cheers
