Good reading, but there is one small thing I should mention because it does change the intent slightly.

At 0:48 I'm not hearing "I" in the line: "As things turned out, and I never ran."

Leave ½ to 1 second of silence at the beginning.
Leave 5 seconds of silence at the end.
