Chapters 3 and 4 are ready for PL.

I'm a little confused about chapter 3 though. The checker says it has a moderate level of background noise. I have listened to it several times and I don't hear any noise :hmm:

Background noise is very subjective. There is no given number that is acceptable/unacceptable. It all comes down to whether it is intrusive.

Greetings -

Nothing to be worried about with Sections 1 and 2...definitely PL OK.

I had forgotten that MacDonald can be just a bit wordy at times. :-)

More PL's to come.

Thank you Lomond! :D
I seem to be finding that wordiness is the norm for 19th century writers

What a naughty little girl!!

Sections 3, 4, and 5 are PL OK. I didn't notice any distracting noise in Chapter 3.

More to come.

Greetings -

Working on the remaining chapters tonight.

All of them pass the Checker review except for Chapter 11 which comes in at 93.2 dB, above our limit of 92.

Don't do anything to it until I let you know if anything else needs your attention.

Greetings -

Readings through Chapter 8 have now received the coveted description as PL OK.

I would do more tonight but there is a padded horizontal surface in the bedroom calling my name.

So far, the most enjoyable character is Prince, the dog. :-)

Section 9: PL OK.

Section 10: PL OK.

Section 11: Maybe it was something you ate...whatever...you had a few problems with this chapter.

Besides the aforementioned audio level aberration, two other things need your attention:

TIME: 10:40 TEXT: "Plainly, the little fiend was looking" COMMENT: Reading has "friend" instead of "fiend".

TIME: 14:13 TEXT: "She looked up; she was alone." COMMENT: Reading has "gone" instead of "alone".

Greetings -

With the exception of Chapter 11, this one is ready to go.

Some unanswered questions at the end, but that can be good for the imagination.

What are you reading next, ShellyW?

I love this story so much. I learned so much about myself! I have started another GM book: Beautiful Thoughts. My next after that may be another one by him  cause cs Lewis isn't in the public domain yet
Today is a work day so reading is on hold.

Whew! I think I fixed it.
The whole volume thing confuses me because sometimes the waveform looks small and the volume is too loud and sometimes it looks big and it's too quiet. :hmm:

Greetings -

Everything is fixed; now marked as PL OK.

I have the same confusion with audio and volume levels and waveforms. I ask myself a) does Checker like it and 2) is it loud enough for people to enjoy listening to it? If it is easy for me to listen to with my chronologically progressed ears, then I am OK with it.
