The Ice Queen, by Ernest Ingersoll (1852 - 1946)
When four young people decide to undertake a skating trek across the Arctic ice, there are sure to be adventures. Aleck becomes “Captain,” Kate makes sure everything is packed, Jim, the youngest of the family provides his sled and is useful in so many ways, Tug knows how to make “twitch-ups,” and let’s not forget Rex, the strong and fearless dog, who helps fight off enemies. Ernest Ingersoll, better known for his nature books, such as “The Ocean” and his travel accounts, such as “Knocking around the Rockies,” gives us a delightful tale of adventure, survival, and achievement for young people. (Summary by Larry Wilson)

Thank you for your interest in this project.

We do, however, request that our new readers first complete a one-minute test recording to check out all of your technical specifications and any reading issues.

New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!

Here is a direct link to instructions for the one-minute sample recording:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test

Among the useful information there you will find instructions for completing your test recording. Once you have the "OK" on that, post again here and you are free to record for this project. Let us know how you would like to be credited in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or any nickname or handle you wish.

I saw these files sitting in my download folder and got confused because those weren't "real" filenames, but the MC name. :hmm:
