You've got some extra text and length at the end. Otherwise it would have been PL OK.

8:59 please delete the text here "The load sank the weak scow so deeply that the water ran into cracks in her side"

and then reduce the silence at the end to around 5 seconds total, after about 8:50

Nicely read,

Thanks,

So, can I blame my skipping paragraphs on "senior moments" too? I hadn't thought about that. :hmm:

It is now PL OK.

Thanks Larry. Wow, Chapter 2 only took 9 minutes and this seems like a fun story. Sign me up for some more, say 3, 5, 6, 7 for now?

Oh boy. I'm listening to chapter 2 and there is a noisy bird outside my window adding his contribution - sounds like a cardinal. Too bad this chapter doesn't take place in a spring garden :hmm:

Ha! I remember when I first started with LibriVox, we were staying with my daughter and family in a small mobile home, with a new born, and finding a quiet place was hard. I thought I could record in the shed. Nope! Too many birds. I think I recorded my first piece, a Poe poem, in the car. Then I got the use of a room in our church in Wareham, Church of the Nazarene, which was nice when we moved closer. Lots of birds here, but no cardinals. I do remember them in Wareham, though. :D

  Yeah tweeting birds and Poe might not go together very well.

Its a cruel choice I have to make between recording and having the window open.
