actually, I just saw that your test has been approved today

So here is your personal reader page where all your projects will be linked to: https://librivox.org/reader/19325 If you want to have another reader name (real name, pseudonym) let me know and I can still change that.

Now section 4 is officially assigned to you. As this is your first recording, please read carefully through the first post, you will find all the information about correct intro/outro/title and filenaming there.

If there are any other questions, let me know :)

Have fun recording

Thank you so much! I'm excited to start. I'd like to go by Felicia Molyneux if that's okay. :)

 woah, this is exactly the kind of creepy story I so enjoy in the Black Cat magazine. A well-crafted mystery, and best of all, it's also explained at the end. I hate open endings

Wonderfully narrated and the newspaper clippings gave me the chills while I pondered what could have happened. The explanation was astonishing, but probably not impossible.

I only have three small things to note:

> at 11:47: (p. 6) "the 8th inst." - means "8th instant" (= of that month)

> at 11:48: (p. 6) "that his body was found" - you say "its" if I'm not mistaken, could you check once more please ?

> at 16:45: (p. 8) "though I had never known either Professor Stone or his wife, Mr Henry Stone, their brother" - not sure if that was your intention but to me the intonation and pause of this part of the sentence sounds like Mr Henry Stone is the wife, instead of the brother, which gives it a weird twist

thanks

awww a lovely story with a good ending. Me like. Excellently narrated too, thank you, Greg.

I have a few notes for your consideration however:

> at 3:49: (p. 37) "was a Scotch plaid shawl" - you insert "girl" here, which doesn't make sense :hmm:

> at 5:24:(p. 37) "east drift cut ore pipe" - you say "out"

> at 5:28: (p. 37) "breast in solid horn silver" - you say "is"

> at 16:15: (p. 41) "or crying" - you say "coughing"

> at 17:49: (p. 42) "Thompson père opened the door" - this is French for "father" and is pronounced like the English word "pair" (without "ay" at the end, the final 'e' is not voiced)

> at 18:30: you forgot the end of project disclaimer: "End of The Black Cat Vol. 4 No. 3 December 1898"

Well, that is a lot of errors for a short story. However. I can see I misread at least a couple words. I probably need stronger reading glasses! I'm not getting younger!

I'll fix these this weekend!

Take care,

Fun fact: I grew up in a town kind of in the middle of all the cities mentioned in the story! I could totally picture some of the areas mentioned being so desolate. Can you imagine looking up and seeing....that?!

New run time is now 29:41.

so cool that you could visualize the spots mentioned ! And as a local I guess I got the correct pronunciation for all these areas, some of them sounded quite difficult. 8-) Interesting to hear.

And yes...looking up and seeing a corpse fly by that would be

Thanks it's now PL ok
