Thank you,

[FULL][Short Stories]The Black Cat Vol. 04 No. 03 December 1898 - kit
wow, Felicia, excellent and lively narration. Wonderful for your first official recording I especially loved the boisterous voice you used for the main character here. It makes for interesting listening. And the story was lovely with a happy ending. So thank you for that. I'm thrilled that the Black Cat saw your LV debut.FMoly wrote: ↑March 19th, 2024, 9:22 pmhttps://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/blackcat0403dec1898_4_various_128kb.mp3
Section 4. Man from Alaska
A few small edits still to make, but no worries, it's not difficult to edit and there is definitely no need to re-record from scratch. I mention this because some new readers think they need to redo it all, but actually that is usually not encouraged as it creates too much work for both reader and listener. So please only edit and correct the time stamps I'm marking for you. If you need a step-by-step on how to edit, let me know. The easiest way is to re-record that bit of the sentence in another audacity window, noise-clean and amplify as needed, and then just paste it into the right slot.
> at the beginning: we recommend between 0.5 and 1 second of silence, you could cut a little bit there
> at 0:22: "read by Felicia Molyneux" – you omitted "read by" which makes it sound a little bit like this was the author, or part of the title
> at 13:31: (p. 34) "until he happend into a tiny French cook-shop" – you forgot "French", quite an important info at this point in the story
> at 15:12: (p. 35) "up with your glasses" – you forgot "up" which sounds a bit strange in context
> at the end: we'd like a standard of 5 seconds of silence, here you need to add some seconds, you barely have 2 seconds
Simply reupload with the exact same file name, so the old file gets replaced with the new file.
Oh and please, always include the length of the file when you post the link, so the Magic Window can get updated right away.
Thanks and I hope to hear you in many more stories still, maybe even in another Black Cat one day. And I suspect you may find your way into our drama section soon, are you interested in playacting ? Plenty of stage plays waiting for new voices.

excellent editing. There are nearly 6 seconds at the end now, but no need to reupload another time. Just keep it in mind for your future recordings.FMoly wrote: ↑March 20th, 2024, 11:04 pmhttps://librivox.org/uploads/kitty/blackcat0403dec1898_4_various_128kb.mp3

indeed this one was very entertaining, thank you Julie. Also your rancher accents are quite cool. Another absolutely PL ok story.JulieB3 wrote: ↑April 20th, 2024, 11:42 amShort and sweet! And funny.

hi Sabrina, glad to hear back from you and that you are still interested. Thanks for letting me know.
I can give you a one-month extension, so you can finish without any stress. (of course if you are done early, we're all the more happier )
Looking forward to your story.
