I have put all the SD for act 1 in a single file, if it turns out that the act needs to be split into more than one section I will provide the revised intros and outros as and when required.

As the text is inconsistent in it's spelling of characters names (Marquis de Posa/Marquis of Posa) I have tried to follow the names given in the Dramatis Personae as I think they may be closer to the Spanish names. I hope this doesn't make PLing too much more difficult.
Thank you, Alan.

I note you didn't include your own "Stage directions read by" at 17s. I assume you'll add that in Section 0.
1:27 Carlos (after a short silence), I assume you meant to miss this and make it plain in the edit. I note at 2:01 you did the opposite. Neither is an error, so this section is PL OK.

Adrian

Take care,

Nicely read, again, Greg. I laughed out loud at the two interpretations of "Indeed".
As the only note is optional, I'm marking this PL OK.
(optional) 12:10 "but oh" s/b "but ah"

I have added the missing line. I am not editing this play Inkell is. It is for her to decide whether to use this line or leave a pause in the final version.

You are correct, I have downloaded the act 1 files and I hope to get it done this weekend, my voice is still shot but I am up for editing. I will let you know if the file needs to be split, I think it'll be just about okay but I won't know for sure until I edit because it does vary depending on reading speed and stuff. Acts 2 and 4 are the ones I'm more worried about, both have five digit word counts but again there's no way to know until we get there

Hi Inkell
Thanks for the update. I hope you feel better soon.
The total duration of the recordings submitted for act 1 is around 90 minutes but that will include a lot of gaps to be removed in editing. So it may end up under 74 minutes.
If it needs to be divided can I suggest that the best place to split it would be after scene 2 where there is a break in the action and a change of location. The first 2 scenes are both long and separating them should leave the rest within the limit. The final decision is of course yours as editor.
Acts 2 & 4 will be the longest, with 15 and 24 scenes respectively.
Good Luck

Here is Act 5 - the final lines for Don Carlos:

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/doncarlos_carlos_5.mp3

Despite some early challenges I had a great time recording this part. I liked his frenetic personality, mood swings and struggles between bouts of self-righteousness and self-pity.

I look forward to seeing how if this act passes muster!

Take care,

Greg

So close, Greg, to a perfect ending :0) The end of a mammoth read, well done.

PL Notes:
46.6s "against my wishes" s/b "amongst my wishes"

Hi Greg
I think you deserve a Gold Star for finishing this role, it must be one of the longest in the history of LV drama.
I expect Adrian will check it over soon.
EDIT: I see Adrian has beaten me to it

The project is making good progress now and moving to the editing phase with act 1
