I have put all the SD for act 1 in a single file, if it turns out that the act needs to be split into more than one section I will provide the revised intros and outros as and when required.
As the text is inconsistent in it's spelling of characters names (Marquis de Posa/Marquis of Posa) I have tried to follow the names given in the Dramatis Personae as I think they may be closer to the Spanish names. I hope this doesn't make PLing too much more difficult.
Nicely read, again, Greg. I laughed out loud at the two interpretations of "Indeed".GregGiordano wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 6:47 pm Here are the lines of Don Carlos - Act 4 -

As the only note is optional, I'm marking this PL OK.

Act 1 stage directions revisedadrianstephens wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 10:37 pm I note you didn't include your own "Stage directions read by" at 17s. I assume you'll add that in Section 0.
1:27 Carlos (after a short silence), I assume you meant to miss this and make it plain in the edit. I note at 2:01 you did the opposite. Neither is an error, so this section is PL OK.
Thank you, Alan. Update checked and still PL OK!alanmapstone wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 11:50 pmAct 1 stage directions revisedadrianstephens wrote: ↑April 9th, 2024, 10:37 pm I note you didn't include your own "Stage directions read by" at 17s. I assume you'll add that in Section 0.

I have added the missing line. I am not editing this play Inkell is. It is for her to decide whether to use this line or leave a pause in the final version.

You are correct, I have downloaded the act 1 files and I hope to get it done this weekend, my voice is still shot but I am up for editing. I will let you know if the file needs to be split, I think it'll be just about okay but I won't know for sure until I edit because it does vary depending on reading speed and stuff. Acts 2 and 4 are the ones I'm more worried about, both have five digit word counts but again there's no way to know until we get therealanmapstone wrote: ↑April 10th, 2024, 12:05 am Everything needed for editing act 1 should now be available

So close, Greg, to a perfect ending :0) The end of a mammoth read, well done.GregGiordano wrote: ↑April 10th, 2024, 8:02 pm Here is Act 5 - the final lines for Don Carlos:

Despite some early challenges I had a great time recording this part. I liked his frenetic personality, mood swings and struggles between bouts of self-righteousness and self-pity.
I look forward to seeing how if this act passes muster!
Take care,
Greg
