1:38 is no stranger in the land (not: is in no danger)
4:48 wild disheveled cloud (that's the weird disheveled, three syllables: di-SHE-veld https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/disheveled)
8:38 was grazing nearby (not: gazing)

Chapter 6
0:18 In Anita's scream ("in" is missing)
Those dialects are kinda hard.

Chapters 5 & 6 can be spot checked:

Ha! I like how sooner or later all these characters are going to collide somehow... even if not all of them are certain to survive that encounter ha ha. I'm enjoying how he is challenging us to figure out the connections and the timeline for ourselves. And I definitely liked the coach-driver; once again you did a super job with the weird dialect!

Section 7 was all good, and just one little thing in Section 8:
5:16 the coach, passengers, horses (not: coaches)

CALAMITY JANE: yes!!! I hoped we would be seeing more of her. And hopefully not for the last time before the end of this story (stories? I still don't see how all the pieces fit together ha ha)

Two things: one easy and one kind of hard; I'm not even quite sure what the best solution would be:

SECTION 9

3:24 V and 3:42 X and 4:28 X.
the X and V here are tricky: they are the symbols for 10 and 5, not the letters X and V as you read them -- maybe say "fiver" and "tenner"? or "five-spot" and "ten-spot"? those are good slang words for five dollar bill and ten dollar bill in the 19th century, so I guess that is how the author would have read those out loud?

8:42 and the laugh of Calamity rung wildly through the great saloon (the phrase repeats twice)

Random factoid: the slang term "sawbuck" comes from that use of the Roman numeral X which USED TO BE PRINTED on the 10-dollar bill way back in the day (like when this novel was written ha ha). There's a picture of a bank note from the year 1861 with a big X on it that you can see here:
https://www.wordorigins.org/big-list-entries/sawbuck
And here's a five-dollar bill showing the big V on it:

(that photo is from 1862)

I was a little confused too with the X & V. I decided to read them word for word but 10 & 5 are better.

Agreed, the story is pretty dis-jointed.

Oh my, it does bounce around, doesn't it? But I suspect it works kind of like a TV show that way, ha ha. I noticed just one thing in the two new chapters:

Chapter 10
2:07
made no motion toward speech (not: mention)

Chapter 11
all good!

Oh my gosh, SO MUCH DRAMA. This was the best chapter so far, no doubt about it. Poor Anita! I really can't guess how this is all going to sort out, but I hope things work out for her somehow............!

Section 12 all good, and just a few sneaky words here in Section 13:
4:25 and her progenitor was (not progenator; stress is: pro-GEN-itor https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/progenitor)
8:27 I was loth to stay away (this is a variant spelling of loath, so it is loth-rhymes-with-both, not loth-rhymes-with-sloth https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/loth)
12:02 You are still, dear (not: Are you still, dear?)

Oh my gosh, Kirk, what an incredible coincidence! I was just replying to someone who contributed a story to that Tales of 1928, and I wanted to share with her a story from the Vetalapancavimsati, which I knew someone had recorded for LibriVox (I used it in my online course textbook; my students loved having LibriVox books to listen to)........ and when I found the story and linked to it to share, IT WAS YOUR VOICE! Of course I recognized it right away. But it's from a long time ago, ha ha. Do you remember recording it?

LOL! I'm not that old and I think it was only a few months ago

I remember you'd told you were doing that project so I jumped over to help a little. They were fun stories!
