I shortened the filename as long ones sometimes cause problems. Enjoy.

Wow, this is going to be something different! A perfect window into all the "Wild West" propaganda of 150 years ago. It's intense to think that Sitting Bull was killed at Wounded Knee just a few years before this book came out, which of course it makes me wonder if any of Wheeler's readers knew that -- although I guess if they did know, they wouldn't care (sigh...). I imagine this fictitious Sitting Bull is going to have nothing in common with the real Sitting Bull besides the name... we'll find out soon, I suppose! And also whether the "Minnesotian" of Chapter 2 is dead or not! Ha!

I noticed just a few little things in these first chapters:

Chapter 1
4:48 had facetiously branded him (really weird pronunciation: fuh-SEE-shusly... here's an audio for facetious without the -ly ending: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/facetious)
11:52 Par'ps she'm g'in out ontirely (the phrase repeats; all these weird accents must be hard to do, especially with them all switching back and forth in the dialogues!)

Part 2
5:41 make me out a murderer (not: murder)

Sections 3 & 4 are ready to PL:

I don't think there's going to be much of a plot.

I think I see the characters converging in a kind of roundabout way... IF, that is, poor Anita is the tied-up woman we met earlier. Meanwhile, I guess the Minnesotian IS dead since he has vanished without a trace ha ha. And what a cliffhanger to end on! (Bambi is done, by the way, so no weird combinations for prooflistening like before!)

Just a few things this time:

Section 3
8:33 Ned Harris (not Neal)
9:29 what's the row (this is row-rhymes-with-cow, not row-rhymes-with-go)

Section 4
12:12 on the western side, Brown's Creek (not: side of)

We're still wondering what's up with Anita. We went back to Fearless Frank & Sitting Bull in the first chapter.

Ha! Things have worked out better than expected for both Anita and for Alice (now that I know her name) -- that's a relief! And I am so impressed that you can manage to read Nix's weird dialect ha ha.

Just a few tiny things:

Chapter 5
1:38 is no stranger in the land (not: is in no danger)
4:48 wild disheveled cloud (that's the weird disheveled, three syllables: di-SHE-veld https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/disheveled)
8:38 was grazing nearby (not: gazing)

Chapter 6
0:18 In Anita's scream ("in" is missing)
