I cannot stand anymore how often EBB is saying that she is not worth RB

how can one put oneself so down I wonder ? Was she really thinking this or only fishing for compliments ? I think she would not have written poetry if she had thought so low of herself. As RB, I would have been highly annoyed by it.

maybe, but she doesn't strike me as depressed, only as having an inferiority complex. Which is not really reflecting reality, because in their life time, I think her poetry was much more acknowledged than Robert's.

Anyway, next letter...I see what "dear" Mr Kenyon is doing here...he is proposing to come on one day, then postponing the meeting at the last minute, so EBB is always in a panic that he might butt into her rendezvous with RB.

I really don't like Mr Kenyon.

She did mention suicide. Inferiority complex and low self esteem is common with depression.
