Thanks for your help - Julianaadrianstephens wrote: ↑March 8th, 2024, 10:09 amYou're very welcome, Juliana.
But I do want to respectfully correct you, or at least correct an impression.
None of us are going to give you instructions. Instead, we give you information that
you can use to create an acceptable (i.e. meeting Librivox's standards) recording.
It's a subtle thing, but we're all volunteers, and nobody tells anybody else what to do!
Regards,
Adrian

I have assigned section 19 (Running the Batteries) to you.
Unfortunately section 16 was claimed by another reader just before you.

Notes for section 16:
The text is correct and your recording passes all the technical checks.
But I would make a few comments:
- you uploaded your file to the tests folder when it should have been to the folder of our MC knotyouraveragejo
- the silence at the start should be 0.5 to 1 second and the silence at the end should be 5 seconds (yours were longer in both cases)
- the volume of your recording varies greatly in different places (at times it is almost inaudible), in future try to keep the volume level of your voice more even.
I have corrected these minor issues so your section can be marked PL OK! Well Done on your first completed recording
