The Use of Knowledge in Society, by Friedrich Hayek (1899 - 1992)

Volunteers outside the USA: Friedrich Hayek died in 1992. This person's work may still be protected by copyright in countries where copyright duration is determined by the author's death date. In Europe this is 70 years; in Canada it is 70 years for authors who died after 1971; and in Australia it is 70 years for authors who died after 1955.
An article written from a scholarly point of view in 1945 which critically examines the concept of a planned economy while highlighting the efficiencies of a decentralized market structure. He makes the point to discuss the role of information in a decentralized structure, separating purely theoretical arguments against information proven through time and practice. Being a fan of the Austrian School of Economics, and wanting to learn more about Hayek. I would love to DPL this project for you.

I am getting a word count of just over 5000 words for this essay (between 30 and 40 minutes of recorded length) which might make a better addition to the Essays Collection (which I happen to BC) than as a free standing book. In the collections, it would still be searchable and findable by title and author. Just something for progressingamerica to consider.

If someone wants to solo it I'm cool with that. It would be pretty easy for the reasons you mention.

Well, in case it will help attract either section-readers or a single soloist: I'd suggest filling out the summary!

I'm guessing other MCs are waiting to see how much your first reader is willing to read... since that's what I'm doing.

I'm waiting... err, not MC'ing because it's not PD for me, and I avoid MC'ing projects that aren't PD for me. ;)

Just chiming in, I look at the summary as having two jobs. First, to attract readers, then Second, just before cataloguing, change it to attract listeners. Just be sure to notify your MC that you've tweaked the Summary or the original one will go into the catalog. I learned that one the hard way. :?

Summary sounds good! It would add context to include the year, as in:

The MW is up! We'll need to choose between "section" and "chapter" in the intros and outros.
