This is the link to my 1 minute test. My user name is LaVoice. I used Audacity as my recording software, Windows as my operating system, and Analog as my mic type.

Welcome to Librivox, LaVoice!

Your voice is clear and pleasant, and your test passes all but one of the Librivox specifications. The volume is too high at 93.9 dB (required range is between 86 and 92 dB, with 89-90 dB being the ideal).

See this post for information about how to adjust your volume settings and check your file's volume.

Please make those adjustments and post another test in reply to this post. I'll come back and check it.

Thanks,
Winnifred

Thank you for your kind compliments. I adjusted the volume and used the volume checker to ensure it was good. It now registers at 88.6 db. I look forward to getting started! Thanks so much!

You're very welcome. And you're ready to record! I suggest heading over to the "Readers Wanted: Short Works (Poetry & Prose)" forum to find your first recording. There are lots of shorter options there in all genres.

If you have questions along the way, the "Need Help? Got Advice? forum is a useful place to get answers.

Happy reading!

Cheers,
Winnifred
