How picky do you want me to be? I know it has "standard", but that means different things to different readers.

Here are some notes. All of these are optional.

4:03 - "marine insects -- polyps, star and jellyfish" - I hear "sar"

8:53 - "the tangle of jessamine and honeysuckle" - I hear "jasmine"

10:27 - "Vasquez D'Ayllon" - I hear "D'Allyou". (pronounced with the N, correctly, at 11:09)

24:08 - "he was so far north off the coast of Oregon" - I hear "north of the coast" ("north of the coast" is definitely a strange way to talk of the coast of Oregon.) ;)

26:42 - "not willing to give up the enterprise, landed fifteen men on Roanoke Island" - I hear "landed men" (missing "fifteen")

27:02 - "He laid out a town on Roanoke Island" - I hear "he laid out a new town" (no "new" in the text).

Marked as "See PL Notes", but if you want to leave these, that's A-OK with me. :)

Thanks, but I think I'll leave them. We generally aren't that picky with the text.
If the text is understandable and the story is still good, I'd leave it alone.
I'm afraid that sin't the last name I've butchered. I really get lost with the French.
Some of it I've looked up, but it's hard to research it all.

I recently had an unpleasant experience on a DR where every detail was scrutinized. Took the fun out of it.

No worries! I was only following along with the text because I'm also making the text into a Gutenberg book. I wouldn't have noticed the differences had I been doing my normal Standard PL. 8-)

I hope I finally got all the errors out. I've never had to go back and re-record as many times for a chapter!

Well, I always heard his friends called him Harry.
You know his contemporaries: Studebacker, Packard, and Olds? :lol:

I won't tell you how many times I've uploaded into my own folder for others' projects. I can keep it quiet, though, because I have the super-secret keys to move 'em files around. LOL!

8:08 - "No Popery in England!" seems to have part of "in" cut off. Take a listen and see what you think.

OK, you got me! An attempt to correct one error caused another.
I re-recorded the section, so it should sound smoother now.
