IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Exactly! I'm an anti-Disney folklorist, ha ha. And animal stories are my thing. So I am fascinated to see how this started before Disney got hold of it. Or Barbie for that matter, ha ha. Looking forward to it!

MW is in place. I've set this up with the foreword as the first section, but feel free to adjust the intros if you're skipping the foreword or combining with the first chapter.

This is the file name: bambi_00_salten_128kb.mp3

OK realised Checker has two levels of validation, should have been on Gentle not Strict...now passed:)

ah, yes, that was the old filename format. The new requirement is to include the bitrate _128kb - but Checker is not updated on that. Glad you figured it out

Ohhhh, this is going to be a delight, I can tell. You are a PERFECT reader for this book. I loved all the voices you did, especially the magpie and the butterfly. I saw some deer just this weekend at a friend's house, and now the next time I see the deer there I will look at them differently for sure.
All 3 files sounded super, so I will go mark them PL OK now in the window. And I'm glad you included the bit from Galsworthy. For sportsmen indeed!
I'm very much looking forward to what's next :D

Oh my gosh, Anne, you really are a brilliant reader! How on earth do you manage to do all the voices? It makes this really lovely to listen to. My favorite part this time was how you had a different voice for each of the three fawns so that when they were all talking together, I could follow the dialogue perfectly, always knowing just who was speaking, and it made them feel so real that way too.

So, both of these files are PL OK and I am eagerly awaiting what comes next (although I am already scared of what the DANGER will be when it arrives...).

What a treat this is going to be for people to get to hear when you are done!
