History of the Rise, Progress and Termination of the American Revolution Vol. 3, by Mercy Otis Warren (1728 - 1814)
A contemporary three-volume history of the American Revolution written with an Enlightenment tone that covers the background of the era spanning the crisis caused by the Stamp Act in 1765 to the closing of the establishment of the Constitution in 1789. Warren's book carries a strong Republican viewpoint as she comprehensively guides the reader through the events as they unfolded around her. (Summary by progressingamerica)

Question about the chapters. After the chapter numbers, these old books will have a summary of what the reader is about to learn in that chapter. Can we leave out those summaries - some get quite long - or should they be included in the reading?

Just to confirm, Are you referring to page 1 starting with "A short view of the forces....."? It is true that they can sometimes get a bit long, but we have been recording them already for volumes 1 and 2 so we should try to be consistent.

For example see: https://librivox.org/history-of-the-rise-progress-and-termination-of-the-american-revolution-vol-1-by-mercy-otis-warren/

OK, got it.
I have a similar but greater concern about the upcoming appendices to sections 3 and 4 (as well as other chapters further down). These huge notes could be considered sections unto themselves, and I believe they will distract the listener away from the meat of the story. For instance, is it necessary to recite all 14 Articles of Capitulation smack in the middle of the chapter? Or is is better to suffice that they were signed, and that the listener may find the details elsewhere? Perhaps they can have their own sections, kind of like bonus chapters.

My $.02
