PL Note for Section 16: Very nicely recorded - it just has red lines pegging top and bottom throughout. I would recommend running the Compression effect on the whole track.

DuBois: "How to make politics very interesting."

(And showing that nothing really changes - all the finagling and subterfuge has been here for ages and ages.)

OK, I reuploaded (section 15, not 16, btw). I set it back to Spot PL. Could you check it out? I have never run compression before. I also didn't see the red lines, but I'm not surprised since I had issues with the volume. Does it sound ok?

I in general was having trouble with Audacity 3.4.2. Very unstable--it was doing all kinds of random things, so I rolled back to 3.3.2 over the weekend. There are all kinds of gripes around the internet about how unstable 3.4.2 is. Hopefully I'll have less trouble with the older version.

And yes, politics is politics. I'll be interested to see how the last section, section IV, is. I'm about done with Sara and Sammy's machinations. Only 3 sections of politics left, thank goodness.

Yeah, that was the ticket. It "cleaned up" nicely and still has great volume.

I'm still on 3.2.4 - always slow to upgrade my Audacity. I'm not tech-savvy to start with, and have trouble rolling back if I decide I need to.
