Section 4 is up. There are quite a few spots that needed de-amplifying. Let me know if there are spots where it's not enough. Thanks.

Section 4 is PL OK

The louder parts "listened" well, so no need for further adjustment. :)

by the way, thanks for the page cues for each chapter, as we're working in Hathi

Sure! I have to find them too...

I'm glad the hollering de-amps worked out. I am going to do some experimenting to see how I can get that "holler" effect without having to do that. Any tips on that?

Have you tried using a leveler or compressor on Audacity? I wonder if that would bring down the loud bits without having to deamplify them individually.

I don't generally use either, but other folks do. If you need help, you might ask for advice in the "help wanted" forum. We've got some of good sound engineers and some very experienced readers in the community!

Agreed. It was hard to record. At the upsetting points, I tripped up more and had to do more retakes.

This next section is not so bad. I haven't recorded it but did read it. I'm out of pocket the next few days, so you won't see it until Saturday earliest. Unless I'm able to get to it today. We'll see.

Section 9 is up for PL.

Two notes
-There's a place where I said "help" instead of "health." I decided that in context it was ok.
-"Joliet" really is pronounced that way. Growing up in Wisconsin, we talked about the explorers Marquette and Zhol-ee-AY, but the Illinois town is pronounced as read in English.

Thank you! I'm really curious to see where the story goes next.
