Finally, my other two stories:

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/talesof1928_16_various_128kb.mp3 5:46
https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/talesof1928_19_various_128kb.mp3 6:21

I had to take a sudden, unexpected trip that was then extended to two weeks, with no microphone. Then when I scheduled recording time yesterday the LV site was down. Recorded them anyway except for intros. Anyway, here you go, from my magic calabash. So much fun!
On the road again, so delays are possible

Whoo-hoo! Thank you, Larry! I've noted these in the MW, and I should be able to listen later tonight; if not, then Sunday morning. It will be so nice to get to hear you again. :-)

Ooooooooh, that sounded so great, Larry! You did ALL the voices! Yay for the magic calabash and for the wise old owl! That "sky is falling" story goes all the way back to an ancient Buddhist story from India where it is a rabbit who causes all the fuss and a lion who figures out what happened; I was so glad to find this American version (bluejay! chipmunk! so American!) -- and the porcupine leading the mole around was so sweet (and you even had a porcupine voice!). Thank you so much for joining in here, and when I marked those PL OK in the window, that put the project at 80% done! I just have a few people to track down; I'll do that next week.

This has all gone so well, so I'm going to pull together a Tales of 1927 when this is done. Doing a group project is really fun because you get to meet up with people you already know (you! Alan!) and also to meet new people too. Thanks again, and I hope you are having a great weekend!

Oh, I am so glad you liked it! It is one of the longest stories in the collection -- mostly I aimed for very short stories, but I liked this one so much, I knew I wanted to include it! I've entered it into the MW and I hope I can listen to it tonight. THANK YOU!

Oh wow, Brenda, that sounded wonderful! I am so impressed by people who can do voices like that (some of the other people who contribured here did voices too). Your goat-voice was PERFECT! That made me like the goat even more, so I was glad that she was able to get away in the end ha ha ha.

The story itself was perfect; the one thing that would be nice is if you could read the section title at the start, not just the story title (that way people will know where the story comes from, and also the authors). So that would be:

0:20 a Polish story: "A Horned Goat" by Lucia Merecka Borski and Kate B. Miller [right now you just have: A Horned Goat]

The way to pronounce the name Merecka is: Meh-RET-ska. (I speak Polish, and that's a Polish name.)

After hearing all the great voices for this story, I am excited to hear your next story!

Thanks, Laura!
I can make that repair to the title certainly. Hopefully by tomorrow.
Thanks for your supportive comments! That helps a lot to know if I'm on the right track.

Here is the corrected version of Story 12, A Horned Goat. I just re-recorded the entire intro, so it won't necessarily begin at your cue of 20 seconds.

That's fantastic, Brenda! I marked it PL OK there in the magic window, and updated the time. We are now at 85%: whoo-hoo!
Here's the section title for the other story you had claimed:
a Swedish story: "The Three Gifts" by Eva March Tappan
I hope you will enjoy it! This one is what is called a "dilemma tale" ... you'll see what that means when you get to the end. Have fun! :D

That was fabulous, Brenda: you told that in such a lively and fun way, making the suitors all so sympathetic so it really is an impossible dilemma at the end. How on earth to choose???

These dilemma tales are one of my favorite folktale genres; they were especially popular in Africa and in India, and I suspect the European dilemma tales like this one are probably indebted to some traveling storyteller from far away sometime long ago.
LibriVox actually has a wonderful book of dilemma tales of INdia if you are curious -- here's one that is a lovers' dilemma like the story you just read:
The Three Lovers. The Three Lovers who brought the Dead Girl to Life. Whose wife should she be?
https://archive.org/details/twenty_two_goblins_1205_librivox/twentytwogoblins_02_somadeva.mp3
(the first part is about the goblin who is the storyteller; the goblin tells story after story after story, all dilemma stories, to the king)

So, I've marked that as PL OK..... and we are at 90% now. Thank you so much for contributing your wonderful reading voice to this project!

11 and 20 are both PL OK!
I did notice a word substitution if you think it worth fixing, in section 11 at around 3:40, text is "on the Ox’s horns", recording has "ears" instead.

I don't remember if we discussed it before: did you want the list of contents included with the summary in the Catalogue Page?

I will be available for "Tales of 1927" as well :D
