Thank you, Ben!
Please check point around 15:00, a repetition of "I did not go far", or a missed period at "as I went forward."

Thank you for your offering, Marina! All great with the recording and it is marked PL OK in the Magic Window.

Just a couple of check points for future uploads:
Check to name the file as formatted in the firs post, in this case with ghohor072_ at the beginning
Check to include all information in your post as required in the first post, in this case additionally author's name and text source.

No need to do anything; I have fixed the filename and I have found a matching text at gutenberg.org at https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/15143
just as a headsup for future uploads, of which I hope there are many, because it was an wonderful listening experience :9:

A haunting story about possession and fear!

Hi there. I'm brand new here. I'd like to take on stories from

Grim Death Various https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uga1.32108024598917 that I found in this post viewtopic.php?t=89989&start=90. I'm also open to other readings as well. This one seemed fun.

I've done all of the newbie stuff and am ready for recording. What's the best way to proceed? Looking at other posts I think I should post meta information about the book, author, story, time, and then the recording itself in mp3 format. Is that correct? Anything else?

Thank you very much,
Dave

Welcome to Librivox and the horror collection!

Yes, indeed, as the story is the reader's choice, when you're ready to post your recording, also post the meta info. Check the first post of this thread for the filename format and also opening and closing words (intro and outro of the recording)

Looking forward to your story! Enjoy recording!

I see this collection is almost full. I've found a ghost story I love, to do for it.
The Haunted Orchard by RICHARD LE GALLIENNE. Before I record it:
3 times I changed to and fro the orchard to “to and fro IN the orchard.”
Is that OK or should I stick to the original? If it’s just an old fashioned way to say it,
I have no problem with sticking to that. If in the meantime the collection is filled,
will you start another? I love ghost stories.

It looks like it's a conscious choice of the author since he used it at least three times. I would stick to the original. If there are any obvious typos, we try to correct, but otherwise, we record the text as published. Thank you for asking!
Yes, I try to launch a new collection as soon as one is catalogued!

Hi there! Most of the stories from that book originally appeared in Weird Tales magazine which is also a treasure trove of stuff to pick from! I'm working on a comprehensive list of all the Weird Tales stories that haven't been recorded yet that I hope to have up in Book Suggestions soon.

PL OK with just a heads-up note about the volume, it's a bit lower than usual - maybe check your microphone's input volume in case it was accidentally decreased.
Well, now I have to go back to chores...
