I added a section 4; somehow left out my name as reader and it also says it is open rather than assigned.

Did some other editing in the section titles after I looked closer at the text.

Soon to record.

curioser and curioser... yikes... and o h...

I was seduced by the gutenbergaustralia version of this book, because it is easier to read. BUT... it aint the same work as the internetarchive version. I think the Aussies have done a lot of editing and adding. Doesn't look the same as the internetarchive version.

Soooooo... I will record from the internetarchive version. So please remove section 4. I also rewrote the other sections. Plus I rewrote the introduction.

Sorry for the extra work.

   o dear

Stop the presses! I just found on internetarchive the version that the Aussies evidently were using. The title page says it is the third edition but has no date.

Give me a chance to re-think this whole thing - which version to use, etc.

Back soon.

oooooookkkkkkkk!!!!!!!

I've decided to record the third edition in internetarchive. I've made the part titles agree with this edition and have added a bit to the description, to wit,

This short 1906 biography of Robert Louis Stevenson by polymath Chesterton and journalist Nicoll is also sometimes entitled ‘The Characteristics of Robert Louis Stevenson.’ Each author wrote a section of the whole. This recording is of the third edition which differs structurally from the first edition and has some additional material.

Recording soon.

Added link to Project Screen page. There are handwritten dates inside the book suggesting either a 1904 or 1905 publication date. Why do you think it is 1906?

The title page of some earlier edition lists 1906 and I thought the third edition could hardly be earlier:

https://archive.org/details/robertlouissteve00chesrich/page/n7/mode/2up

On the other hand, the catalogue number for the third edition uses 1905 (far be it from me to question the librarians of my former graduate school UCLA):

I would be happy to use whatever date you think best. :?

Confusing, yes. I'd either go with 1905 or in the book description say, "early 20th century." We don't want to upset those librarians. Further research might find a definitive answer.
