Well dang, I really should have looked ahead on this. I've wrapped up recording section 5, but realize I can't properly do section 6. It has a huge block of French, and I've no idea how to read that without completely mangling things.

Anyone here know how to speak French, and is willing to take that section?

I did my best with the Manchester accent in Section 5, and am looking forward to having it PL'd. Will upload both that and Section 4 within the next couple of days, my apologies for the delay on this!

Thanks for reaching out. Languages hidden within readings is something that comes up quite often. I am ok with you doing the best you can with it. However, if you are uncomfortable with the reading, I can un-assign it and someone else will pick it up at some point. No worries at all. Just let me know what you would like to do and I can work with your decision.

I managed to find someone who can either read it themselves for the project, OR who can record a competent version for me to mimic. Are there any issues if someone else lends their voice for a portion of that section? Do I need to separately credit them in the outro?

You do not need to credit them in the outro, but we need their name to be added to the summary ("Passage in French read by...")

Section 4 is ready for PL, 07:10.

Still need to complete section 5 (need to re-do chunks of the accented section) and record section 6. I have a recording to work off of for my rendition of the french in section 6, but won't be able to actually do the recording until most likely next Wednesday or Thursday (going on a little eclipse trip!)

My sincerest apologies, but when recording section 8, I discovered a racial slur that I'm not comfortable recording. I know the text needs to be read accurately, and after much thought, I've decided that I need to have someone else record this section for this project. Again, my apologies for taking so long to let you know after asking for the section.

Ooh! Pepper's Ghost - love this illusion. I'd like to take on section 8. I understand there is usage of a racial slur. I'm not thrilled about it but since it sounds like a one-off, not pervasive, usage then I'll do it so this book can get into the wild.
