Bertie Ballister, an honest and hard-working boy for a banker on Wall Street, never lets the issues of his life get in the way of success. Though his father died when he was young, and his impoverished mother turned away by her affluent brother, he followed her lead to seek opportunities to better their lives. Not only does he seek advancement monitarily for himself, he seeks the financial stability of those dear to him. His great nerve is the salvation of his allies and the downfall of his enemies, even when one was the distainful uncle who previously wished his demise. (Summary by Keith Salis)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Like a story that we wish was never ending, we know sometime we must reach the final page. Still we carry on just pretending that there'll always be one more book to go. - Fading Lights, Genesis

I just realized that the Intro to Ch 5 had A Rise in Life as the title, rather than a Barrel of Money.
The corrected verison has been uploaded.

Shows you how much attention I was paying  . I’m so used to your perfect readings, I just enjoy the story rather than paying attention to “minor” details.

Ha! the only reason I caught it was that I'd also done it on Ch 6 (I usually like to do two at a time),
which is now also ready for PL.

Just HAD to say my recordings were perfect?
Now you get to find where I had to patch a missing line in Ch8, ready for PL.
Why is it so hard for me to sound like...me?
