U. S. Marine Operations In Korea 1950–1953, Volume 5: Operations in West Korea, by Pat Meid and James Yingling
In March 1952 the 1st Marine Division redeployed from the East-Central front to West Korea. This new sector, nearly 35 miles in length, anchored the far western end of I Corps and was one of the most critical of the entire Eighth Army line. Here the Marines blocked the enemy’s goal of penetrating to Seoul, the South Korean capital. Northwest of the Marine Main Line of Resistance, less than five miles distant, lay Panmunjom, site of the sporadic truce negotiations. (Summary by L. F. Chapman, Jr.)

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Awesome! This is gonna be a bit longer than the other 4. The original author of the other volumes, Lynn Montross, passed away in between volume 4 and 5, so a new crew of authors. They appear to have a more “wordy” style. Will be fun none-the-less

Hold off on PLing this, Larry. Something isn’t right with the audio. I’m using a new mic setup and I need to make some adjustments
