requeSts for more complete information on this fascinating subject.
While numerous treatises have been written from the scientific point of
view, and manufacturers have written direcrions for the use of their
machines, none of these tell the whole Story in simple non-technical
terms.
As creators of the popular Audiodisc recording blank, it is appropri-
ate that we publish a book for the everyday recordisc. Consrantly in
touch with the problems of recordiSts in every type of business, we
feel qualified to recommend those recording praCtices generally con-
ceded to be good. Since this is a limited exposition on a complex
subjeCt, it is n0t the intent of this book to discuss every consideration
from every angle but rather to make clear the fundamental principles
of sound recording, thereby rendering fuller and more pleasurable the
pursuit of this new art.
