Please let me know if you need any fixes/have any advice.

Thank you!
It looks like the volume is quite low at 77db. Librivox recordings are required to be between 86-92db and preferrably somewhere in the middle of that range. I'd suggest amplifying the volume of the whole track by about 10 to 12db and then re-exporting it. Once we get the volume at the right level, I can mark it ready for PL. Thanks!
So sorry! I just completely forgot to check the file, haha

Hopefully it should be good to go now.

Thank you!

Creepy! PL OK!
Section 7, Seaton's Aunt, is ready for PL! I believe it's the longest story in the collection, so enjoy!
And the creepiest story so far. PL OK for section 7!
Cheers,
Claire

Hello!

Congrats on submitting your first recording! Great job on the reading, and there are just a few areas that need some editing please. I've listed the times from the end of the reading back to the beginning. If edits are completed in this order (end to beginning), there shouldn't be any issues with the timing within the recording that I've noted.

Around 23:15 - heard "not with some vanishing shame..." should be "not without some vanishing shame..."

Around 12:11 - duplication of "I could hear the infinitesimal tic-tac of their tiny claws upon the slate"

Around 8:45
- duplication of "I pushed on and found myself in command of a gorse-strewn height"

Once any edits are completed, please re-upload the file, under the same name, and post the link in this thread letting us know updates are completed, as well as the new run time of the recording. I'll then be able to do a spot check to make sure those areas were corrected.
Cheers,
Claire

Here is Section 16, which comes to 17:21
PL OK! I hope I never run into the Vats during any travels! Creepy!

Hello! Congrats on your first Librivox recording! There are some areas that need some editing please. I've listed the times from the end of the reading back to the beginning. If edits are completed in this order (end to beginning), there shouldn't be any issues with the timing within the recording that I've noted.

Ending - should be "End of section 6" with 5 seconds of silence afterwards. Currently there's about 7 seconds of silence, so please cut that down to 5 seconds.

Around 14:48 - heard "hot baked splinters.." should be "hot baked splitters..."

Around 10:32 - omitted 'not' from "at least not for ten minutes."

Around 8:23 - heard "for Selina mind..." should be "for Selina's mind..."

Around 7:58 - heard "short memorized" should be "short memoried"

Around 7:47 - heard "dumb and ig-note-able" should be "dumb and ig-noble"

Around 6:45 - heard "the discriminate gorge" should be "the indiscriminate gorge"

Around 5:26 - heard "of his brilliant speculation..." should be "of this brilliant speculation..."

Around 5:04 - heard "that of unexpected and forbidden delight." should be "that of expectation and forbidden delight."

Around 4:55 - omitted 'at its' from "and at its very fullest gape"

Around 4:29 - heard "unconscious of the expected ensemble-age" should be "unconscious of the expected assemblage" - pronounced 'uh-sem-bl-ige'

Around 3:38 - heard "and were now sleekly and unexpectedly clustered..." should be "and were now sleekly and expectantly clustered..."

Around 2:55 - heard "it was the farmer's whoa-t" should be "it was the farmer's wont..." pronounced like 'want'

Around 2:13 - heard "And one, long, warm, long-inius afternoon..." should be "And one long, warm, languorous afternoon" pronounced 'lang-grr-us'

Around 1:08 - heard "...to permit a protracted standing or scooping..." should be "to permit a protracted standing or stooping"

Once any edits are completed, please re-upload the file, under the same name, and post the link in this thread letting us know updates are completed, as well as the new run time of the recording. I'll then be able to do a spot check to make sure those areas were corrected.
Cheers,

Updates are complete section 6 run time 15:8:30. Thank you for your review. I am still learning this platform so this is helpful. I do not see 7 seconds at the end of the recording though, it looks to me to be at 5 (maybe it changed with corrections). Can you please let me know I can adjust if needed. Is there any easier or more exact way to measure?

Sure! Before I can assign it, what name would you like to be represented by in the catalog? This could be your real name, username, or anything else you'd like. Thanks!
