Thanks, Brian. It was a fun character to read. I appteciate that you described him in the MW. That helped me greatly. The narrator's line where he states that Flash used his flask as like a baby using a pacifier tells me that part would have been fun to perform onstage!

Here are the files for my roles, for a total time of 10:08. I hope they work.

https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/goldkiller_chief_6.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/goldkiller_chief_8.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/goldkiller_flowersnatcher_2.mp3
https://librivox.org/uploads/toddhw/goldkiller_flowersnatcher_5.mp3

If you want any short roles filled in, please assign them. I probably shouldn't try to be another gangster, but maybe the animal trainer? Since he has an accent, he should be easy to distinguish. Thanks for letting me try these.

Thank you Dave, I will listen to them tonight or tomorrow. And thanks for your offer to do the animal trainer! Of course that part is yours.

Brilliant! These are all eat-your-heart-out-Vincent-Price performances. Right down to the ghastly coughs by the man behind the Automaton Chief and villainous laugh of The Flower Snatcher. I feel like I owe you the sound of footsteps descending a staircase and door slamming as The Chief exits Part 6.

All are certainly PLOK except that there is one PL NOTE in that I need these lines:
You don't dare to disobey me, Dos Andros. You can never go back to the Indians in South America and get more of their sacred drug. They would kill you. And here — you will be implicated in the Gold-Killer murders if I choose.
in goldkiller_chief_8.mp3.

I'm sorry about leaving the narrator's "he said at last" in the Automaton Chief's opening lines - I edited the script and I can remove "he said at last" in goldkiller_automatonchief_4.mp3.

Just a fantastic set of performances, Dave. Thank you, Brian

Here are the repaired Chief from part 8 (I'm very sorry about the omitted line) and the animal dealer, for a total of 1:57. Thanks for your patience. Dave

Just to fill in some holes, may I try to read Gordon, the Waiter, and the Aeroplane mechanic?

If the "er" meant hesitation, I certainly understand, and if you choose not to use any of these, that's fine. But here are my readings of Gordon, the Waiter, and the Aeroplane Mechanic, for a total of 1:23.

By the way, somewhere along the way I noticed a line for the Narrator that said, "he limped", but the context was that Tom was speaking. Should it have been something like "he lisped"? Your call, of course. Thanks again for the opportunity to contribute. Dave
