And PL is spot corrected.
Spot PL for section 4 is OK!

Section 5 - It's rather chilling to read all about Pearl Harbor in 1919 know what comes 25 years or so later! Just a few notes for edits:

Around 21:02 - heard "this dock has a length of 100 feet..." should be "this dock has a length of 1000 feet..." I also noticed at the start of this sentence, the B (in build) and the G (in granite) sound a little bit distorted. May want to be careful with the microphone positioning to avoid that distortion.

Around 11:57 - heard "the Navy during the last war...." should be "the Navy during the late war..."

Around 9:00 - missing "This official attends to the purchase of coal, oil-fuel and lubricants for the entire service and has charge of the Navy's payroll."
Cheers,
Claire

Hmm.

If you're interested in the topic, you may find a 10-minute reading I did for the Short Nonfiction Collection #96 interesting;

The “Fortifications for Peace” (1922) by Kiyoshi 'Karl' Kawakami.

If you want some more depth and context; It provides a very different contemporary perspective.

So the vocals may be a bit all over the place, because my rooms acoustics have changed, my mic position has been in flux and my peripherals have changed about. So I'm still trying to find a good arrangement.

Section 6 ---> 38.06

"Isudzu" at the end of Page 124 appears to be a spelling mistake. I have corrected.

Some notes;

"Adsuma" on page 133 is properly Azuma.

pp. 147 "Chemulpho" ---> properly Chemulpo or maybe Jemulpo. Not very recognizable and the occupying Japanese at the time actually called it something else.

I'm very tempted to render it by its modern name Incheon (which has actually been used to some degree for six centuries) and has been the official name since prior to the Korean War in 1950.

Buuuut, even though it isn't directly referenced, the name is kind of baked into the "Battle of Chemulpo Bay". Which is important context for anyone studying the war :(.

I figured, I'd do two sections back to back on this project, and then two sections back to back on my other one :). Since both are split chapters, reading them will probably be better that way.

And my other project has only two sections left :D.

So it might be about three weeks before I drop next section. Though I am switching to part time work, so I'm hoping for a modest increase in output. But there are limiting factors beyond time available, obviously.
