The Juvenile Bible, by Anonymous
The following poetry is a chapter by chapter summarization of the Bible, with the specific aim at providing young ones with an easy to understand and memorize overview of the Bible and its contents. (Summary by Nicole Wright)
Source text (please read only from this text!): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/52146

Target completion date:

Prooflistening level: Standard
Prospective PLs, please see the Guide for Proof-listeners.

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the number of languishing projects on our server, we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't recorded anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).

Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process unless you are the BC or PL. Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I'll set this up for you. I see the previous project and will try to clean that up, too. :)

The previous project had keywords poetry, children, Christianity, Bible. I've included those in this one.

Thank you so much, Tricia!

Yeah, sorry to have made a mess! I didn't realize quite how things worked with files and threads. Plus I was overthinking it and worried I wouldn't follow through, not wanting to leave another unfinished project if i started my own and didn't finish. Etc etc. I appreciate everyone's patience as I learn. :9:

Please do put the run times in the section Notes field in the MW. I will verify them at cataloging time, to be sure nothing is wonky. :)

Greetings -

What an interesting Bible.

The preface was a bit of a mental labyrinth.

Sections 0 and 2 are PL OK.

Section 1 has just one thing that needs attention:

TIME: 05:21 TEXT: "34 New tables made and brought;" COMMENT: Reading has "bought" instead of "brought".

Looking forward to more of this.

Are you still with us? :) It's been almost 3 months since you last checked in - getting close to that 3-month "communicate with us or this might get abandoned" deadline.

Hi Tricia yes I'm here! I'm frustrated with myself that this isn't finished already. Thank you for your patience.
I hit a snag with recording, couldn't keep the background noise down but there is no background noise in the room so that doesn't make sense. I kept playing with the settings to no avail. As I've stepped away from it I think I maybe had my expectations too high and that the recordings were good, maybe not amazing, but good and clean and fine.
So I need to sit back down and try again with more reasonable expectations of myself.... but I'm still afraid it won't work and I won't know why.
I will be brave and try again very soon. And if I can't get it to work I should probably resubmit a 1min test and see if our techy people have ideas.
Thanks for checking in.
