Thanks for the adjustments to the stage directions; I think you've got the hang of it now. PL Okay for acts one and two. For future reference, please leave 5 sec. of silence at the end of the recording. Kelly--please clarify what "u.e." means in stage directions, as I am unsure.

As an actor I knew most what most of the letters meant, but U.E stumped me. lol

Hi Aleeseeya,

PL Okay for acts 3 and 4. In Act 2 at 3:18, please change "counting" to "coming" in "Well, well, I'm coming to it." At 7:51 in Act 2, please change "haunted" to "hunted" in "I am fairly hunted into the toil."

Thanks-it sounds great!

I think that u.e. means "Upper Entrance/Exit" - like a door in the center of the backdrop instead of to the left or right.

Thanks, Todd

Todd is is right. It's Upper Entrance. It's one of those Victorian Era stage notations we rarely use these days.

Hi Allie,

I hope these notes don't seem too picky, but since reading Stage Directions is new to you, I think they might be helpful.

If you are unfamiliar with an abbreviation or pronunciation, please ask or look it up. You have correctly read the U.E. directions, however, the L.D. (Left, downstage) is missing the "downstage." Also, the pronunciation of "Exuent" (ek-see-uhnt) is important because in contrast to "Exit," it means that more than one character is leaving the stage. Since this is a recording and not a live performance, Kelly will need to determine if you should review the act and make edits.
Here are additional PL notes:

1:07--correct the pronunciation of "Rolando" in "Exuent Count and Rolando."
3:54--please add "him" to "They sit him down."
3:59--change "R" to "L" in the stage direction.
4:42--Add "Duke" before "Puts her over to the R."
4:54--add "goes" to "She goes and opens it."
5:25--please correct the pronunciation of "desists."
5:32--add the missing stage direction "(Aside...sits down R.)
6:07--add R to the stage direction
6:51--add the missing stage direction (Exit Juliana....flat.)

Thanks so much,

Lora

My computer is still in the shop. I may not be able to review this for a few more days.
