ADKreader1122 wrote: January 24th, 2024, 7:44 am Hi Allie,

I hope these notes don't seem too picky, but since reading Stage Directions is new to you, I think they might be helpful.

If you are unfamiliar with an abbreviation or pronunciation, please ask or look it up. You have correctly read the U.E. directions, however, the L.D. (Left, downstage) is missing the "downstage." Also, the pronunciation of "Exuent" (ek-see-uhnt) is important because in contrast to "Exit," it means that more than one character is leaving the stage. Since this is a recording and not a live performance, Kelly will need to determine if you should review the act and make edits.
Here are additional PL notes:

1:07--correct the pronunciation of "Rolando" in "Exuent Count and Rolando."
3:54--please add "him" to "They sit him down."
3:59--change "R" to "L" in the stage direction.
4:42--Add "Duke" before "Puts her over to the R."
4:54--add "goes" to "She goes and opens it."
5:25--please correct the pronunciation of "desists."
5:32--add the missing stage direction "(Aside...sits down R.)
6:07--add R to the stage direction
6:51--add the missing stage direction (Exit Juliana....flat.)

Thanks so much,

Lora
Sorry to take to long to respond (I'm just now getting my computer back up and running.) No need to go back and re-record anything in Act I or II -- but do be careful about these things such as Exuent/Exit and giving the full stage direction such as "upper exit" or "left downstage" as we move forward into Acts III - V.

Thanks, again! You're doing a great job with these crazy Victorian stage directions for a beginner! :D

Since we're getting somewhat close to that point in the process, here's a heads-up about a recent change:
If you normally use the CastCoder to generate your cast list, you may notice it's been updated. Specifically, it puts each role on a new row/line, but it leaves out the "<br>" tags that used to separate them.

If you've got your own way of generating or hand-typing cast lists, you can do the same.
I'll be out for a bit on this last weekend of April, but still checking in as I get the chance. I will try to follow up on Monday, with anything I can't do on the go.
