I'll set this up for you progressingamerica. Are you planning to be the DPL? If not, please add a ~ to the thread title.

Hi
I'm a newbie, so I'm not clear on the process. I would love to be a proof-listener. But I see no chapters have been read yet. Am I correct?

Hello, welcome to Librivox.

There is an abundance of information on the wiki. https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=Guide_for_Proof-listeners

As a newcomer, it would probably be best for you to pick up one or two sections when they come get recorded and prooflisten along with the text. Then if you would like to be the dedicated proof listener (DPL) for the entire book just let us know.

I can do that...don't you need a DPL first who oversees the PLs? ( yes, I read the guide, still fine tuning my mind.)

Hi Aredito. No that isn't how it works. A DPL (dedicated prooflistener) signs on to a project to listen to all the sections. When there isn't a DPL, then other prooflisteners can volunteer to listen to any sections which Ready for PL.

Hi, I'd like to volunteer for the preface. This will be my first Librivox recording. If all goes well, I'll do chapter one as well.
