Hey I have CH 4 and I wonder if anyone can shed light on a reference near the end of the chapter.
The text is, "...not if Woodville and Carstairs had shares in twenty
swindling mines."

Woodville and Carstairs?

I Googled and found nothing of substance.

Could it be simply fictional to provide realism/specificity?
