Section 8 PL Notes:
This appears to be a different project.
  • 00:00 Note (no change needed): The volume of this track is 91.13dB. LV requires the overall volume for the track (measured by ReplayGain - you can try this tool if you want to check the volume) to be between 86-92dB (with 89dB being the ideal). The file falls within the outer ends of that range and so doesn't need to be changed but watch that it doesn't end up outside the range. The easiest way to automatically set the volume is to use the 'Loudness Normalization' effect (set to -19LUFS in 'perceived loudness' mode) in recent versions of Audacity before exporting the track as an MP3. If you use RMS normalization, set it to -21dB. Another way would be to use the Amplify effect set to -2dB.

St. Augustine (Vol.6 Psalms 126-150) 96% 2 left!
Emotions by James McCosh (1811 - 1894) 91% 2 left!

I don't quite understand your comments regarding section 8.
I apologise for the incorrect volume. I always use Checker and this passed the file.
I am happy to re-record and adjust the level to conform to LV limits ?

I do not understand the comment "this appears to be a different project "

I also use loudness normalisation and have always used the setting -19 but when I started using the latest Audacity and used -19 this reduced the file to infinitesimal levels of loudness . so adjusted it up to-2. I don't entirely comprehend Loudness normalization -Maybe there is a tutorial some where ? There always is !!! I would be grateful if you could perhaps direct me to it ???

Sorry to be a bother .

I will choose a few more sections later today.

Thank you for asking me to do so..

Apologies for being too brief in my comments.

https://librivox.org/uploads/alg1001/logic_08_gilbart_128kb.mp3 If you click on this link and have a listen, you'll hear that it is actually section 13 from this project. Is section 8 of Logic still on your computer (maybe under the opposite filename?)

The other comment was just a note, not a change needed. The volume was approaching the maximum. If you use the RMS mode of loudness normalization set to -21dB, does it work better?

Do you have an audiacty file that you think contains section 8 of this project? If so, you could export it to the filename logic_08_gilbart_128kb.mp3 and upload it again.
