Tales from Silver Lands, by Charles Finger (1869 - 1941)

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page: https://librivox.org/tales-from-silver-lands-by-charles-finger/
The 1925 Newbery Medal Winner for best children's literature published in the United States, this collection of Central and South American indigenous folk tales holds stories that will still be new to most North American ears. Full of cultural charm, these tales also hold the same degree of strangeness, flights of fancy, and fearful shadows that can be found in the tales of European-based folklore. This book is entertaining for adults as well as children. (Summary by Lynette Caulkins)

I believe MaryAnn is going to MC this.

I will DPL, but as I want to read much of this myself with alternating voices, I'll find a DPL for my chapters at a later time. :)

If two other readers are interested in making this a trio, we can do that.

Certainly!

Welcome to LibriVox, and thank you for helping with this project. I'm reserving that story for you, but I need to generate your Catalog Reader Page before the window will let me officially assign the section to your name.

What name would you like us to use for that page (which is what listeners see when they look at audiobooks)?

Some folks use their real name, some use their forum working name, and some make up a different name.

Got it. Here's the link for your page: Keith Ghormley

It will list all the projects you're a part of, both complete and in progress, and it has a link to handy lists of all the sections assigned to your name for either recording or proof listening.

Nice to have you on board!
