May I have sections 25 and 26 please? Am I correct in assuming I can split those chapters where ever feels natural?
~Traveling May 20-29. I will catch up upon my return for any PLs, etc.~

Sure.
And yes, but roughly 50:50 would be good.

Hello! Here are sections 25 and 26. I split them where it felt natural, but one section is slightly longer than the other. If you'd prefer it be closer to a 50:50 split, let me know and I'm happy to adjust.

I will say I find this author quite long winded! I don't think I've ever seen that many semi-colons used EVER

Thank you. And I’m not going to haggle over the split… your opinion is at least as valid as mine. More so until I have listened 8-)

And just be happy there are semi-colons. Some authors did not believe in punctuation at all. The run on sentences are horrendous  Or they added random commas.

Ohhh, very good point! I'll take the extra punctuation over none!

I've noticed that a lot of authors in the past used exceedingly lengthy sentences. One took me 5 minutes to read.

I finished section 25 and have a few comments on it.

there is a high level of background noise at the start makes it hard to hear the intro. could you either reduce the level of the background noise or redo the first part of the intro "Section 25 of Egypt of the Pharaohs and of the Khedive".
0:24 missing quote "Veritas filia temporis.—Bacon"
8:48 I hear "barbituates" instead of "barbarities" in "we know that reciprocal barbarities"
9:17 I hear "barbarites" instead of "barbarities" in "a feeble conception of the barbarities of those times"

Otherwise great job. Nice and clear and easy to follow.

Thanks,

Nicely read. See below for comments on section 26

high level of background noise at the start makes it hard to hear the intro. "Section 26 of Egypt of the Pharaohs and of the Khedivé"
10:54 I hear "complex execution of the law" where the text reads "complete execution of the law"

This chapter seems rather "loosely" connected to the title of the book.

Regarding section breaks, a more logical break to me would be to move the first 13 minutes of 26 to 25. it does not, however, make the sections more even so I am not sure it is worth the effort.

Break before:
II. And, now that we have collected our facts, let us proceed to combine them into a
gular and synoptical argument. If, in my endeavour to establish them, I may have been too
oncise, I beg the reader to call to mind the title of this work. These are matters which, here,
can neither pass over altogether, nor yet treat as fully as I might think desirable.

Thanks,

Hello! Thanks so much for the feedback on chapters 25 and 26. I've made the requested changes, and also move those 13 mins from 26 to 25. I agree with your choice of split!

Please note: the correction about the "complete execution of the law" is now in Section 25 around 44:32. It was part of the section that got moved from 26. All other changes should still be in line with the original timing mentioned.

New files have been uploaded, and I've noted the new timing for both.
