10 and 11 are PL OK.

Yeah, I've become kinda focused on the birds. I'm sure 'bird humans' ought to be interesting enough as a plot device, but then I have to go and say 'yes, but what research is this based on?'.

It did cross my mind that his supper by himself of 'dried herbs' might possibly, just possibly, be a biblical echo of 'Better is a dinner of herbs where love is'. Not directly related, but he seems so focused on what he doesn't have and on always wanting more that it seemed as if it could be possible.

Chapter 12, ready for PL!

The word we are looking for is 'avian humanoids'! There's a wikipedia page, but list of fiction sources looks a bit thin.

Chapter 12 is PL OK. He keeps pushing his luck... On perhaps related note, is it me or is he describing things in a way that presents him as rather passive? He's definitely doing things, but he seems to keep talking about it in way that suggests 'what rotten luck, X happened to me' instead of 'I did/didn't do Z, and X later came to pass'. Just an observation more than anything, but he seems to be saying everything's down to the weather, his hosts, chance.

I had not heard of avian humanoids, at least not that I could recall. Cool!

As robust action heroes go, he is rather needy, isn't he?

The lesson of this chapter seems to be: If all else fails, try a bit of emotional blackmail!

Chapter 15 is PL OK. You're not joking about the emotional blackmail. His 'if you don't love me, I'll just go somewhere else and DIE and see if you care!' is pure toddler logic. I'm sort of intrigued that the wisest person so far is his prospective father-in-law, who easily foresaw how flighty (no pun intended) he is.

Chapter 16 is PL OK. There is one, very much optional, thing for you to check to do with overall listening experience, but the reading itself is fine:

8.11-8.12, check volume – there’s a bit of a dip mid-sentence

It would appear that Karem is as observant regarding human nature as his father. Very sly!

Chapter 16 corrected and reuploaded - I think I accidentally put a fade out on that bit.

Spot PL OK. Sometimes really weird things happen and we never know why. Or we can guess, but only the gods of electronics know.

Chapter 17 is PL OK. There is one optional note, if you can find it in the original recording. It doesn't change the meaning, just a small omission.

18.03, omission
What if—[what if] Yulada should still be angry with us?"

Take however long you need. You're volunteering and this is meant to be interesting and enjoyable, not a production line!
