Section 13 sounds great! The only note is a rather long pause/seconds of silence around 27:23.

Section 19 sounds great; only two notes.
--You've got a repeat at 13:05
--There need to be five seconds of silence at the end.
Thanks!

Hi Adele,

Thanks for the PL of Section 19.

I was worried about too much background noise. Also spent a lot of time trying to get the pronunciations correct.

--You've got a repeat at 13:05
--There need to be five seconds of silence at the end.

I will fix as requested and re-upload as soon as I can.

Thank you

Here are sections 16 and 17 of The First Sir Percy.

I see that my other submissions have been proof listened and do not require corrections. I will re-upload the files with the correct titling.
Thanks,

Thanks, John. Both are ready for PL. Sure, you can re-upload the three other files (Sections 4, 5, and 6) with the correct names now.

Cheers,
Winnifred

FYI, there is no need to reupload just for a revised file name. At cataloguing, I can select “edit all”, and all file names can be changed to whatever I choose 8-)

Thanks, Lynne. I'll leave the notes in the MW as a reminder, then, shall I?

John, Lynne, our MC, can work magic at her end, so no need to re-upload those files.

Cheers,
Winnifred

At cataloguing, the notes field is automatically deleted, so it doesn’t matter one way or the other.

And here I've been diligently cleaning up my notes as I go. Oh, well. I suppose it's a good habit anyway. Less clutter.

Thanks,
Winnifred

I will be away from my computer from Saturday, March 30 through Saturday, April 6. I can accept any new submissions and put them into the Magic Window during that time, but cannot run anything through the Checker (will do that on my return).

Cheers,
Winnifred

Hello :)

I am aware that my deadline of two months is only a day away and I know this is short notice, but is there any way I could get an extension on the submission.

My Audacity crashed and I lost all the recordings, so it will take me a few days to recover them.

Please let me know if this is possible.

Thanks

Hi Adele,

RE: Section 19

--You've got a repeat at 13:05
--There need to be five seconds of silence at the end.

I reviewed the audio and I think I need some clarification on the edit needed.

The repeat at 13:05 was intentional as to the text I was reading from.

Page 241

"But there thou're wrong, worthy Jan. No man is ever -- is ever drunk enough"

I wasn't sure if that was an editing error or if it was meant as an emphasis, like a drunkard would repeat. Should we keep in as is as per the written text? Or if it would be better edited out to just one "is ever", that's fine too.

Or is the error somewhere else?

I have added the extra 5 seconds at the end of the audio.

I can edit out the extra if needed and re-upload afterwards.

Section 20 still in the works.

Thank you
