Small world anecdote: just been reading about Florence Nightingale, and found that Alexis Soyer came to cook meals in the areas she was nursing during the Crimean War, and generally worked to improve the food provided to the troops.

Yes, and the work he did improving the food in the Crimean War led directly to the formation of the British Army Catering Corps :thumbs:
I'm not sure if we need to blame him for hospital food, though :hmm:

Section 37 PL Note: One short repeat at 24:49 "The councils raised themselves on their couches and listened...The councils raised ....."
All the rest is really good. :D

Thanks. I think I am fighting the flu the last few weeks and am just not sharp enough to handle the foreign names of the gods and peoples and rivers etc.
