Finally have secs 13 and 14 ready.
The volume may be slightly off by 1 dB. Audacity has been "updated" and it will not allow me to replace a file with a new file of the same name. Is there any way I can save a file as, for instance,
theevacuationofengland_13(1)_gratacap_128kb. ?

Audacity demands a new name and will not overwrite an original.

You may save it, temporarily, as you have mentioned.
Here is how I think you should go about this to preserve your edited file. Save as such: theevacuationofengland_13(1)_gratacap_128kb
Ensure it is saved, possibly make a new file to save it in so you know it is actually saved.
Now you can delete the original mp3.

Take away the word "the" leaving the suggested file name and mp3 once more. Post this file in the mw.
evacuationofengland_##_gratacap_128kb
Make sense? Once you verify this and get those 2 sections in the mw as mp3, I will pl.

Well I figured out a different way, but I think it worked. Volume should be OK. I checked it. They are ready for your listening. Thanks. J

Hello Judi,
results below for chapters 13 & 14:
13 is pl okay...well done!!
14 has one edit for you.
12:32 has an incorrect word.
I hear "and the warmest equatorial winds to blow from the southeast."; text is " warmest equatorial winds blow from the southwest." Please change that word and repost. The rest was well done by you, once again.

Sections 15 and 16 ready. I have been having many problems with Audacity. I have to continually re-install it, and it keeps crashing.

I see that you have 2 now posted and ready for pl. Thank you.
Problems with Audacity can be a real pain, I also use audacity though any errors I have experienced have been MY errors  . I do hope Audacity will be "nicer" to you then it has been.

No, I tried to list myself (this has happened before) and it would not register.
I have bronchitis and tried to read today but dissolved in fits of vicious coughing.

Judi,
I do hope you feel better today.
Ann,
Thank you for listing Judi for the sections that she wasn't able to list herself for, darned computers anyhow.

Good morning Judi,
I just pled section 16. You did a remarkable job recording though I did notice a little error for you to fix.
@ 20:10 I hear "in the present tense", text reads "in the present case". Please do record that sentence again and repost. Thank you.
