I was able to finish processing the .wav file using Audacity. My Audition program may be toast. Any time I use an effect or export to MP3, it distorts the file. So, I am glad to have had Audacity and the Help files to help me navigate the program. Hopefully, it worked. I put it through the Checker and it passed.
Margaret -

I'm sorry to read that Audition gave you such a rough time. We'd all rather spend our time reading more chapters and not going head-to-head with balky software. Your results with Audacity are just right, so section 141 gets an easy PL OK.

Thanks for sticking with it and may your future chapters be less frustrating.

I'd be happy to read both 57 & 86, and nudge this closer to the finish line :)

Section 112 Strange Denizens of the Deep is available to be claimed. This is probably the last section that will be available.

I was hoping you would do this. You Bet!
EDIT: This is where real patience is needed in a project, especially one as big as this one. The final sections are always slow in coming and many need fixes. Once the claims are accounted for, then I will need to work my way through the needed edits for people who have gone away. As I said, nothing will happen fast i am afraid but it will happen. !

There are two errors in the file name:
1) you put your forum name juliaviolin in there where the author name henry should be, and
2) there is an extra _mp3 in the file name. Be aware that Audacity will add .mp3 to files of that type on its own, so you needn't type that part. To fix this, rename the file from thestrangestthingsintheworld_108_juliaviolin_128kb_mp3.mp3 to thestrangestthingsintheworld_108_henry_128kb.mp3 and upload it again. The recording is fine, so when you've uploaded your renamed file it will be PL OK. It's See PL notes until then.

Saying quote and end quote are optional for LibriVox recordings. (I believe, Phil may have additional information on this.) Some readers will alter their voice a bit for a direct quotation - but that can be troublesome for paragraph-length quotes like the two you had in this section.
